Lake Magdeleine

Lake Magdeleine has a range of facilities: free car park,
public toilets, a pétanque court, a picnic area, a children’s play area, donkey rides and the mini pirate harbour.

The lake offers a variety of activities for visitors:

Lake Magdeleine is the favourite venue for Gujan-Mestras’ major summer events: the open-air opera and the Gujan-Mestras Festival.

Every year in July, Lake Magdeleine is bathed in light and transformed into a musical stage forthe open-air opera. This free event offers locals and tourists alike the chance to discover the world of opera for an evening. A moment of togetherness not to be missed!

Gujan-Mestras Festival is also THE event not to be missed in August. Four days of festivities, with family or friends, set to the rhythm of bandas, concerts, bodegas, restaurants and a funfair, culminating in a magnificent fireworks display!
