Max’ Golf: learning while having fun in the heart of the Bay of Arcachon
In Gujan-Mestras, Max’ Golf offers an original activity that combines leisure activities, discovery of the local heritage and group cohesion. Set in a 7,000 m² pine forest, this themed mini-golf course invites students to explore the Bay of Arcachon in a fun and interactive way.
Along the 18 trails, participants discover the landscapes, traditions and emblematic sites of the 10 communes of the Bay of Arcachon. Each stage of the route is illustrated by immersive backdrops and educational signposting, covering a wide range of themes: the environment, natural heritage, oyster farming, local history, architecture and biodiversity.
Pupils can travel from one commune to the next, from the Cap-Ferret lighthouse to the Dune du Pilat, via the Le Teich ornithological park, the oyster-farming ports of Gujan-Mestras and the colourful huts of Biganos. It’s an original way to gain a better understanding of the identity and riches of this emblematic area of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
Accessible to all, the trail also encourages mutual aid, concentration, observation and team spirit. Allow around 2 hours for a visit and games for a group of four participants per team.
For the convenience of school groups, the site has a shaded picnic area, a refreshment bar, a snack bar, toilets and a car park. In summer, access is also possible by shuttle bus.
An ideal outing to complement an educational project on the local area, the environment or heritage, while offering pupils a moment of relaxation and conviviality in the heart of nature.
