The Gujan-Mestras Tourist Office only promotes classified or labelled furnished accommodation.

National rankings

Since 4 January 2021, the Gujan-Mestras Tourist Office has been authorised to carry out classification inspections of furnished tourist accommodation.

What are the advantages of classification?

50% tax relief, compared with 30% for unclassified furnished accommodation
The quality of the accommodation is enhanced by a recognised classification
Membership of the Association Nationale des Chèques Vacances.

What are the objectives?

To improve and modernise the quality of the accommodation on offer
To indicate to customers a certain level of comfort, facilities and services
To promote sustainable development
To strengthen the legitimacy of the classification in the eyes of international tourist customers.

The Comité Départemental du Tourisme also carries out classification visits in Gironde, as do other accredited bodies. They are listed on theAtout France website.

Other labels

There are manyother labels in France for tourist accommodation, each with its own criteria and objectives, particularly when it comes to sustainability.

The main ones are Gîtes de France, Clévacances, la Clef Verte and Tourisme et Handicap.

There are also labels for tourism service providers, such as Accueil Vélo, Destination d’Excellence and Tourisme et Handicap.
