The family beach at La Hume benefits from the label Handiplage 2. This means that it offers people with reduced mobility adapted facilities in July and August: tiralo, adapted walkway to the beach, handiplagist, accessible toilets and showers.

The beach is supervised in July and August.

The Gujan-Mestras Tourist Office has the “Tourisme et Handicap” label for 3 levels of disability: motor, hearing, mental. This label helps to better meet the needs of people with disabilities so that everyone can choose their holidays and leisure activities in complete freedom.

The label guarantees in particular facilitated access to the premises and to services as well as a personalised welcome.

For your journeys in the commune of Gujan-Mestras and throughout the Sud Bassin conurbation community, you can take public transport.

The Sud Bassin bus network is called Baïa. Each PRM can benefit from a companion for whom transport is free.

You can travel by boat on the Bay of Arcachon with the Union des Bateliers d’Arcachon. You need to contact them at least 72h in advance so that they can make every effort to accommodate you (not all boats are necessarily accessible).
